After having three matches cancelled for snow, rain and fog, Norfolk Seniors kicked off their League season with a trip to Newmarket Links GC to play Cambridgeshire. The morning foursomes were lost 3.5 to 1.5, Tony Ralton and Neal Milton won while Mark Skipper and Adrian Myhill managed a half. The afternoon singles proved equally as challenging against an improved Cambridgeshire side. The only win for Norfolk came from David Pattrick. Tony Ralton and Mark Skipper both halved and were unbeaten on the day, Alistair Pykett making his debut also halved his match. The 2.5 points from the afternoon saw Norfolk lose 11–4 in total.
