After the windy conditions at Great Yarmouth & Caister earlier this month, it was much more pleasant at Wensum Valley for the 41 players in the second Order of Merit of the 2025 season.
It was Warwick Calasse from Sprowston Manor who, playing off scratch, made the most of the sunshine and his superb round of 69 saw him take victory in both the Scratch and Handicap events.
Tom Mathers (Royal Norwich) with 74 was runner up in the Scratch, and Richard Abbs (Mundesley) scored a nett 71 to finish second in the Handicap.
The County would like to thank Wensum Valley GC for hosting this event.
The next Order of Merit will be held at Bawburgh GC on Sunday 18th May – spaces are still available, so get your entries in as soon as possible.
As always, OOM points are awarded for the best 10 scores in each event, and count towards the final OOM tables and the Match-play finals later in the year.
