Bradfield Wins Oder of Merit at Swaffham

The County Order of Merit returned to the fixture list this week, and 41 players made their way to a very warm Swaffham Golf Club.

It was Harry Bradfield of Eaton Golf Club who made the most of the dry conditions. An excellent round of 73 (2 over) was enough him take victory in the Scratch event.

Home player Matthew Chalk  and Darren Abbs (Royal Norwich) came in with 75s, while Sean Rafferty (Royal Norwich) was 4th with a 78.

In the Handicap, it was Malcolm Prior (Sprowston Manor) who won with an excellent nett 65, while Chalk was runner up with 67.

Martin Stanford (Ryston Park) was 3rd with 70 and John Hill (Wensum Valley) 4th with 72.

The County would like to thank Swaffham GC for hosting this event.

The next Order of Merit will be held at Sprowston Manor GC on Sunday 13th July – spaces are still available, so get your entries in as soon as possible.

As always, OOM points are awarded for the best 10 scores in each event, and count towards the final OOM tables and the Match-play finals later in the year.
